The project involved the reconstruction of some 800 metres of waterfront redevelopment at the famous St. Kilda Beach in Melbourne's inner city suburb and were awarded the contract in March 2007. The works consist of the demolition and removal of all pavement surfaces inclusive of the seawall in some areas and the reconstruction of the promenade using pavers, coloured concrete, expansive timber decks and seating areas and amenities such as beach showers and associated facilities.

Landscaping works include the relocation of palm trees and the planting of shrubs and lawn areas in specialised growing mediums and the installation of water conserving retention systems to facilitate drip irrigation to the works. Extensive lighting systems are included in the works. The completed project will bring this much visited area to the forefront of waterfront redevelopments in Australia.
