The scope of work involves the relocation of existing portable buildings and server room, partial demolition of the ground floor, levels 1 and 2 of the existing building, including asbestos removal and earthworks to create an embankment and exposed existing basement walls.
The new two-level STEM centre (Block A West) connects to the existing Block A North building and accommodates dynamic learning spaces and practical studios, workshop, print shop, staff room, canteen, pantry and student amenities. The new spaces will lead to exciting innovations in learning and teaching at Kew High School and is designed around collaborative learning to support creative and critical thinking.
