Tradies National Health Month 2024

With tradies making up over 35% of the workforce and the Construction industry having one of the highest workplace injury rates, it is important to raise awareness and improve safety where possible. Beyond the physical aspect, mental health is equally essential. Depression affects around one million Australians each year, while over two million experience anxiety.

2Construct brought together our site teams, clients and subcontractors at Toorak Park, Schreurs & Sons Devon Meadows, PACCAR Parts, Bridge Mall Ballarat and Dorrington Child and Family Hub to support Tradies National Health Month for our third consecutive year and raise awareness on the well-being of those in trade occupations.

At the Toorak Park BBQ, we were fortunate to have Josh Jones, R U Ok Day ambassador and founder of the Just Be Nice Project, join us to talk to the site team. Josh emphasized the importance of regularly checking in with your mates, following up, and provided tips for provoking meaningful conversations.

At the Dorrington Child and Family Hub BBQ, we were lucky enough to have Rob and Liam from Wattcon Constructions and My Kitchen Rules join us to put down the trowels and pick up the knives to cook a delicious lunch!

We are thrilled to announce that we've raised a total of $650.00 which has been donated to R U Ok Day – sparking conversations that can change a life.
