It’s game on at Binnak Park and Ford Park’s newly upgraded sport and recreation facilities which were funded as part of the North East Link Project.
Binnak Park upgrades include new cricket nets, AFL/cricket oval, field lighting, female friendly change rooms and tree planting to green the area. The new pavilion will also provide a great view for spectators as well as improved car parking on the northern and southern sides of the site.
The scope of works at Ford Park included demolition of an existing oval to facilitate a new central double-facing sporting pavilion, natural turf AFL oval and multi-use court, public exercise stations, playground, cricket nets, a basketball half court and upgraded car parking.
